Johnny Depp in Talks to Join Disney’s ‘Into the Woods’

Johnny Depp is in talks with Disney to join its bigscreen adaptation of the Broadway musical “Into the Woods.”

Meryl Streep is also in discussions with the Mouse House to join the production to play the evil witch. Rob Marshall (who helmed Disney’s fourth “Pirates of the Caribbean”) will direct the film.

Johnny Depp Lines Up Next Projects: ‘Transcendence’ and ‘Black Mass’

With “The Lone Ranger” in post-production, Johnny Depp is ready to get back to work setting up Alcon Entertainment’s “Transcendence” and “The Black Mass” as his next two projects.

It had been reported that Depp had been circling both films but it was unknown if he could do both. The plan would be for Depp to first do “Transcendence” and follow that up with “Black Mass.”
