Much Funnier than Expected

Movie:
This Is the End

So over the top it had me laughing in every scene. Great fun! The common man's guidebook of how to prevail in the apocalypse.

Even Better than I Remember

Movie:
Hitchcock

I never knew the trials Hitchcock had to pass to make his classic movies. I got to watch them at the drive-in theater when I was a little girl. And I was hooked on The weekly "Alfred Hitchcock Presents". The story and costumes brought it all back. Loved the Hitchcocks' home! Hopkins' prosthetic lips bug me however. Not quite like Hitchcock's profile.

Funny Filial Film

Movie:
The Guilt Trip

Not for young families but a good laugh for adult children and their parents. Everyone will relate to eating M&Ms in bed. LOL. The story line is very well put together and believable.

Sexiest James Bond ever!

Movie:
Skyfall

Daniel Craig's appeal crosses every generation. Sexy. The film was action packed as all good spy flicks. But the current trend of budget cuts and forced early retirements range true in the story line. Without giving away too much, I can say it was a tidy ending of an era. Everybody should see it.

Fun for the whole Family

What a treat! I recommend that anybody with children plan Halloween festivities for the family and little friends around this. Very cute idea, funny jokes and happy ending. Have the party at the theatre! I'm sure the DVDs will fly off the shelf if it comes to DVD by the end of October.

Trouble with the Curve

I liked the movie, it was a natural for Eastwood. It had classic moments portraying a relationship between estranged father and daughter. The plot threw us a bit of a curve towards the end with the reveal of what really happened. Sweet and sentimental.

Everybody will love it.

The subject matter is in keeping with education issues in the news. Lack of funding for the Arts, embezzlement, teacher frustration...but funny, touching and full of excitement. Really an enjoyable movie. Not just for men.

Live from North Carolina, It's SNL!

Movie:
The Campaign

The movie "The Campaign" was funny and refreshing. Though some of the scenarios were a bit over-the-top, you had to laugh. It was like a skit from SNL. The casting was right on. I loved Galifianakis in a role of a neater if not less comedic role. And the Pugs were so kissable!

Best Vampire Movie Ever!

When I first saw the life-size 3D poster board of Lincoln in the theater lobby, I thought the idea was preposterous. Our sixteenth president could not possibly have been a vampire hunter. But the story was enjoyable and historically credible. I started reading the book because of movie promos. Good writing. The Civil War setting, the Old South, southern gentility, New Orleans...it all fit. I don't know what the screen writers have planned, but I would love to see a sequel - the battle against the modern day vampires......Wall Street.
