Stoker~~HELP

Movie:
Stoker

Stoker was dark...different...disturbing...and other explicits I should not mention. There are so many adjectives that can describe this film....none, which are good.

This picture was horrible. It was slow moving, perplexing and down right weird.

Perhaps real movie reviewers will love it. Patrons leaving the theater were verbalizing an assortment of opinions. Not everyone hated it like I did.

Had I paid for this movie, I would not be a happy camper. Thankfully..the only thing wasted was my time. And I really can't say I wasted my time, because, I got to visit with good friends.

Oz the Great and Powerful~~Mediocre

I had a hard time getting into the storyline of this particular film. I found the acting to be sub-par at best. On top of that, this movie was really long...ending at just over 2 hours.

This is more of a theatrical picture...which would be the reason for the "Big Screen" stage performances. The 3D effects were amazing. No doubt this alone should be recognized.

Families and children should enjoy this movie. The wicked witches are wicked and will scare a younger child. I don't think it is worth the $10.50 plus to see this film in an actual theater. I would wait for the DVD.

The CALL~OMG RIVETING

Movie:
The Call

All I can say is WOW!! This film was high sit of the edge of your seat suspense. Not like a tacky thriller that can't be believed. The events unfolding in this picture were believable. As a viewer you could feel the emotion of the victim, the emotion of the 911 operator...all of it.

There were parts that were predictable, and some of the drama unfolding was so non-stop that the audience released their tension by laughing. Halle Berry was fantastic. Her acting was impeccable. The ending was not what one can predict, which is what made it even better.

You can wait for the DVD.

Movie:
Snitch

Although the movie had strong PSA overtones and teens can expect this movie to become a go to example what happens when you make the wrong friends or decisions. The story plot is plausible, yet unlikely.

The action sequences were shaky as though shot by a handheld camera. I realize this was initial but I found it to be disturbing. The movie was also disappointing in that we didn't really get to see 'The Rock' go all bad a** in the movie. I think he might have been more the 'The Rock' in the Tooth Fairy.

SNITCH~Not as great as expected

Movie:
Snitch

I enjoyed this movie, but I didn't love it.

The story line was really intense in some parts. Knowing that it was based on a real life situation made it even better. The danger element was high.

The Rock did a great job acting. My husband really loved this movie. There were parts of the picture that dragged for me and then other parts that were action packed and seat adjusting suspenseful.

While this movie is not for small children, teens can see it without reservation. It will be especially appreciated by the teen/young adult male gender.

21 & Over~~Pleasantly Suprised

Movie:
21 and Over

I am usually not a person who enjoys sitting through a movie that has strong references to sex, drug use, alcohol, as well as bad language. This movie had it all.

But...it was so funny. What a direct contradiction to my statement above. I am pretty sure I would not spend the money to see it, but I am glad I went. Laughter is always the best medicine and there were more than enough of this emotion to harness.

Naturally, I would not recommend this movie for children or teens...

If you want a movie that will simply make you laugh...then this one will do just that.

The Impossible~~Amazing Picture

Movie:
The Impossible

This movie is an award winner.

Naomi Watts pulled off an amazing acting job. Actually the entire acting crew did a wonderful job, right down to the smallest child.

The graphics in this film are amazing. As a viewer you can actually feel what the victims are experiencing. It is so easy to connect to the emotions; to feel their fear, sadness, pain and joy.

There wasn't a moment in this film that was disappointing. It was engaging and suspensful.

Identity Theft~Riotous

Movie:
Identity Thief

I loved....loved....loved....this movie. It was so funny.

Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy did a fantastic job. This duo makes a terrific team. Some of the stunts are crazy and can't help buy illicit laughter. There was nothing about this film that I would change. It moved quickly. It kept me engaged. It made me laugh a LOT. And...it had heartwarming moments.

Certainly worth every cent to pay for a seat. I am sure when it comes out on DVD...I will watch it again.

This is a picture that is perfectly appropriate for an entire family. Treat yourself. You won't have regrets.

Safe Haven~Wonderful

Movie:
Safe Haven

I generally am not a person who enjoys Nicholas Sparks books made into a movie. But...I am so glad I went to see Safe Haven.

The storyline was delightful. I enjoyed the plot which had a combination of love, suspense, danger, and humor. All these elements intertwinned to make it enjoyable to watch.

There were parts of the movie that dragged just a bit and perhaps could have been eliminated. It was almost a 2 hour film.

Great movie

Movie:
Warm Bodies

Very funny! At times it points its finger the normal zombie movie tropes, which makes for some great laughs. Nicholas Hoult is fantastic as R. Rob Corrdry has the best line in the movie!
