‘Star Trek’ Sequel: Early Tracking Suggests $85 Million Launch

“Star Trek Into Darkness” is about to go where no “Star Trek” has gone before at the domestic box office. According to early tracking, Paramount’s “Star Trek Into Darkness,” opening three weeks from Friday on May 17, is gearing up for a stellar $85 million opening, which would mark a record debut for the sci-fi franchise.

Analysts suggest the 3D actioner could exceed $90 million, depending on word of mouth. Pre-release buzz has been building steadily for the film starting as early as December when Paramount released the film’s first teaser trailer.

Really great movie

Movie:
42

I have to say that this movie was far better than I anticipated. The story was great and it didn't focus solely on baseball but also on the struggles that Jackie Robinson had to endure to break the color barrier. The cast was phenomenal, Harrison Ford and Chadwick Boseman were fantastic. I have to say that Alan Tudyk in his role was rather surprising and speaks to his range as an actor. It takes a lot to turn one of my beloved cast members of Firefly/Serenity and make me despise him and hate his guts.

A soft sense of passion...

Ewan McGregor is impressive with a sense of subtle passion. Emily Blunt defines her sense of romance in a role that shows that sensibility that is very much her!

Movie:
21 Jump Street

Jonah Hill & Channing Tatum were hilarious. Can't wait until the next one comes out. The collage years. Maybe they should call it The Jump. Great character match. They work well on screen together.
