Best Film of 2011!!

I am not a prude by any means, but lets be real here many of todays films by big studios are garbage. There is too much profanity and violence where younger viewers cannot see the film:( "The Way" written, produced, directed by Emilio Estevez and staring his father Martin Sheen is a rare gem! it was filmed entirely in Spain and France along the actual Camino de Santiago.Sheen's character Tom, goes to France to bring his son's body home after an accident on the first leg of the carmino and decides to finish the carmino walk in honor of his son.

best family film I've seen in a long time,Winter is Awesome!!

Movie:
Dolphin Tale

I know some people will compare this movie to free willy and think it is along the same animal movie genres but nothing could be further from the truth. Winter is a bottle nose dolphin who loses her tail after she developed an infection from getting caught in a crab trap. a relationship develops between Winter and a withdrawn boy, Sawyer, played by Nathan Gamble. Sawyer enlists the help of Dr. Ken MaCarthy (Morgan Freeman)to build a prosthetic tail for Winter. The material used to build Winter a new tail, has since been used to build prosthetic limbs for people with disabilities as well.

Best of them by far.

I loved this pirates the best by far...
This one had the most humor and was the easiest to follow so far in my opinion.
Go see it!
Also it is not needed to see the others, unless you wanna brush up on your pirates history as many things are reexplained without beating it into you.

Lots of surprises!

Draft Day- Cleveland Shines

Movie:
Draft Day

Kevin Costner did a great job portraying the Cleveland Browns' GM agonizing over his upcoming draft pick. Jennifer Gardner and the supporting cast as the team surrounding the GM made the audience see the roller-coaster ride that the GM must ride. The city of Cleveland, a lot of the scenes evident to long time Cleveland residents, looked marvelous (construction barrels and all!). This is a must see for football fans-especially for Cleveland Browns' fans. If only.....

The Ideal Cleveland Situation

Movie:
Draft Day

Draft Day is a great combination of some of the best types of cinema - sports, family, drama, and suspense tied in with just the right amount of comic relief. The Owner/GM/Coach relationship between Langella, Costner, and Leary was fun to watch and is a nice peek behind the scenes of how much strategy and effort goes into a successful NFL Draft.

Labor Day

Movie:
Labor Day

Slow-moving and I kept thinking it would take a thriller-type turn of plot but it never did. Not that I wanted it to - I love my romantic dramas. It just wasn't my favorite. No one in the neighborhood noticed "a guy" doing all that handyman work around her yard and didn't check in on her? Maybe it could be considered a real-life drama because so much bad really does happen in our own neighborhoods right before our own eyes.

Shakespeare Romeo & Juliet Revisited

Movie:
Romeo & Juliet

Simply stated, there are no surprises in this re-telling of Shakespeare's ill-fated young lovers. However, the freshness of lead actors Hailee Steinfeld and Douglas Booth, the PG-13 rating, and the under two-hour run time make this film "watchable" for most audiences!

High school students seeking assistance comprehending the original Shakespearean play or highly literary adults getting reacquainted with the story should appreciate this version featuring Stellan Skarsgard and Paul Giamatti.

Gravity

Movie:
Gravity

Although incredibly far-fetched, some wonderful scenery. The journey of Bullocks charachter was conveyed beautifully. The pain of losing a child is unbearable and she only existed in a shell of a person before this mission.

The Heat is on!

Movie:
The Heat

Awesome comedy full of strong language. Not a movie for the small children in your family. Otherwise, it is a winner. The cast/characters took time to examine themselves, coworkers, friends, and of course family. Boy, the things we all have to endure with family and friends.
