Act of Valor

Movie:
Act of Valor

I really enjoyed this movie. The action was excellent, and gave real insight into the life of serving in the military. I can only give a heartfelt thanks to those who serve and their families who wait for their return.

James Mapes appears in wild horror satire, "The Wicker Tree

When Westport hypnotist, motivational speaker and author James Mapes did one of his popular public performances at Central Connecticut State University 21 years ago, he never dreamed that it would lead to a role in the sequel to one of the biggest cult films of all time.

Writer-director Robin Hardy was visiting CCSU at the time and was in the early stages of thinking about a follow-up film to "The Wicker Man," the 1973 British supernatural suspense story that has a large movie buff following on both sides of the Atlantic.

Fright Night

Fright Night

I liked it! It reminded me of Disturbia, but with vampires. Colin Farrell was excellent. I was nice to see David Tennant (Dr. Who).

funny summer comedy or a great movie date ;) Although a bit similar I thought it was much better than "No strings attached".

'Transformers 3': $37.3 million on opening day

“Transformers: Dark of the Moon” didn’t quite impress critics but it’s doubtful director Michael Bay’s crying over that.

The third installment of the “Transformers” franchise has brought in the best opening day gross in 2011, according to the Los Angeles Times, with a gross of $37.3 million from Wednesday's showings. It's playing well in 3-D theaters, which contributed to about 60 percent of sales.

If you add in the $5.5 million from Tuesday night showings, the total comes to $42.8 million.
