Hello Tom Cruise fans! Do you prefer Tom as a badass or the nice guy role?

Be sure to share your thoughts. Each week the best comment, as voted on by users, will receive a pair of passes to an upcoming screening. To cast your vote click on the thumbs up or thumbs down next to each comment.

His nice guys usually ARE total badasses, too.

One of the things about Tom Cruise is he is often both in his movies. He plays characters that have elements of light and dark. From Maverick in Top Gun who is a cocky, arrogant SOB, but with the talent to back that arrogance up in his area of expertise as well as a caring and loyal friend who can learn from mistakes - to Jack Reacher, another man who might have started out arrogant, but is supremely aware of his capabilities and limitations, and is very committed to standing up for what he thinks is right. Ethan Hunt from the MI movies...another basass nice guy. It's what he does supremely well. And Collateral was AWESOME work as a badass who could maneuver in "nice guy" territory very convincingly, though it obviously wasn't where that character lived.

The best characters are usually those who are conflicted heroes or anti-heroes. Tom Cruise certainly has the talent to pull off the "bad-ass" role, while his boyish good looks provide a contrast to his character role.

He plays the role of badass pretty well. He can take on a physical role and make it look believable. He can do nice guy, but is more suited to be a badass, just like in Collateral. He played a badass and nice guy in Knight and Day, and did a good job mixing in the comedy. Although I don't think anything could be funnier than his Les Grossman role in Tropic Thunder. That stuff is classic!

We allways like bad asses better. He definatly is better in that role.

You know, Tom Cruise is really a timeless good guy. He can pull it off as well now as well as he could twenty years ago, and can do it as much depth the role demands. Most of all, he doesn't seem like he's playing the same good guy in every good-guy film he makes. That really is talent.

But man, when he goes bada**....that's when he really shines. Another level entirely. Tom Cruise as bada** all the way.

    screening tickets please

Really enjoyed this movie it was very action packed, i liked the story behind the murders and it had a good mystery at times. I would definitely say see this.
