Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, Moonrise Kingdom tells the story of two twelve-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness. As various authorities try to hunt them down, a violent storm is brewing off-shore -- and the peaceful island community is turned upside down in more ways than anyone can handle.

I desperately want to see this film. Wes Anderson and his crew never disappoint at all.

If you enjoyed the quirkiness of The Royal Tenenbaums, The Darjeeling Limited or The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou this movie will not disappoint. The colors stay crisp and bright. And the characters are still experimentally goofy yet easy to relate to. It was really everything, and more, that I was looking for.

I just watched is and it didn't do ANYTHING for me. Waste of $9.75. But I read most people liked it. Just not my kind of movie. Great actors even though their talent was wasted.
