Anyone else think this movie was overhyped? I seriously don't understand why everyone is raving. Isn't James Bond supposed to have cool cars, awesome gadgets and insanely cool weaponry? Because according to this latest installment, all of those things are overrated. Apparently attractive women, unnecessarily large explosions and a British accent are the key ingredients for success now. Unfortunately as a professional male of the 21st century in my mid 30's... I expect a little more.

I totally agree with you! Even the action packed scenes were long, tiresome and predictable

They rebooted the franchise with Casino Royal...and in the books, Q didn't exist yet. So they're slowly introducing Q and the cars and everything back in. But part of the success of Casino Royal was making the film about characters and plot as well as the action, back to the early days of Connery, and that's what they're trying to do here.
More early Bond, less late-Moore silliness.
