    The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father’s former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

    I saw this on advanced screening. It was very good but emma done stole the show as gwen stacy. The special effects were fantastic but I want to see spectacular (get it) ;). The grit aspect was great but it sometimes didn't feel like Spider-man but that was good since in the comics he's still a but o' jack ass (but sony knows that, Spidey brings in all the americans cash, right?). Anyways, spidey needs the avengers and the avengers needs to be on the same level with incredible character complexity (no, 3d does not increase that, it's to fucking expensive paramount I mean lord disney.) Also, director's cut? Marc webb or the editor (or sony). Lot of scenes with khan, the lizard has a lot of back story but if it's apart of a sequel (Norman better be in it as like donald trump or rupert murdoch). That's it. I pointed out that gofobo only gives out screening passes if nobody says anything bad

    Great reboot. This is a much better cast. I cant wait to see more. My only disappointment was every time I saw the lizard I constantly kept thinking Killer Croc.
