Enjoyed the actors, but the script at times felt like poetry... but not in a good way... I was left wanting further explanation and not wanting to work so hard to interpret what I was watching.

I thought Bright Star's costumes and music [which can absolutely make or break a film] were incredibly on-point.

Beautifully filmed. Very literary. Unusual to pitch it from Fanny's point of view--which I loved.

IT WAS A VERY MOVING AND TENDER FILM-REALLY LEARNED QUITE A BIT ABOUT THE LIFE OF KEATS. DID FIND THAT IT WAS DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND AT THE START AND DID DRAG A BIT, BUT WE ENJOYED IT. THANK YOU

I enjoyed the movie. Emo Keats and his sassy girlfriend.
The movie was very beautifully shot. Apparently the fields in England are always in bloom at all times even when the snow has begun to fall. Nice trick that.
I liked the friend that knocked up the maid. He was a lot of fun.

This was a beautiful movie. It brings the younger generations back to a simpler time. No gross graphics or slutty scenes just genuine love. Why has the world gotten away from the simple basics and have turned love into whoarism.

It was very slow, does not capture your attention
Glad I didn't pay for it! Walked out after an hour.

I like the movie, but the flow is a bit too slow, it felt like 2 1/2 hours movie.

The cinematography matched the subject matter of the Romantic poets: The pastoral landscapes, the colors used, etc. the The intimacy expressed was incredible...witnessing their private moments was more intrusive for me than witnessing the now-a-days bedroom scenes of most modern movies. Why didn't I hear the "truth is beauth,,beauty truth " part frm Ode on a Grecian Urn?

I really enjoyed this movie. I didn't know anything about the poet, so I found this movie very interesting.

I left the theater literally crying it was so beautiful. The story of Mr. Keates and Ms. Braun was beautifully told. I laughed, I cried; I was mad, then happy. All the great elements to make this a well received movie. I found myself researching Mr. Keates and Ms. Braun after the movie so that I could know even more about their love story. It was absolutely painful to watch him leave her to go to ...more

I loved the costumes and the photgtraphy. I don't mind slow movies if they are visually stimulating as this was. Much of the dialogue was unclear to me. The little girl was superb; her brother was "invisible". I loved the scenes between the star and Braoun - the tension, but why did she dislike him so? he turned out to be surprisingly ethical - marrying the pregnant maid! The best scene was Keats ...more

I thought the movie had a few picturesque scenes such as when Keats was laying atop a tree and when Fanny walked through the wildflowers. These scenes were just as beautiful as the Keats' poetry recitals.

Was some what romantic. I didn't like it because the plot was slow. My Boy Friend fell asleep during the movie at one point. I thought at first the guy John was gay because of his male friendship he had with his room mate. Then I realized he was just close friend to him.
My teenage daughter also went and loved it very much because it was romantic she later told me.
