This appeared to be a made for Showtime movie and not a first run movie. If I wanted to watch Showtime, I would subscribe to Showtime. This should not have been shown in a theater, it belongs on Showtime TV.

I really did not enjoy this show. It was very slow and I found it to be very scattered. The first portion looked horribly spliced together. The second part though it was better prepared was still minimally entertaining. The show didnt convey anything that was unexpected.

The show was very enjoyable and had a lot of good energy. I left the theatre with a lasting positive feeling. I like that the host was very charismatic, and quick-witted. The show was well edited, hilarious and all-around informative. However, the opening credits could be a little bit shorter.

It was a documentary of customers visiting a gun store, which will be a tv show on Showtime. I would not watch the show, so watching this only reiterated that.

I thought the interactions between people were all very surface conversations. I would have preferred to focus on fewer people per episode to actually get some depth to the content. Watching this show was as boring as sitting at the mall waiting for the person you're with to be done. The owner of the gun shop is HILARIOUS. I like the fact he didn't use actors. The customers were seemingly funny as well.

Liked seeing the uninformed that want a gun. Do some research. Shows how impulsive people can be. The post office worker scene. Why are so many gun owners fat? Do they try to make up for the no drinking around firearms when they get back from the range or gun store? Josh was engaging but took time to grow on you.

Entertaining, but not a gun enthusiast. It was not spontaneous, but set up. Situations were comical(enjoyed that), It was nice there was no blood shed or killing of animals for sport. Adding more comedy would make it more interesting. Thanks for asking. Erv Bleitner

The concept is interesting and gives an interesting perspective of the personal interactions of a small business owner and his customers. The host's personality is playful and engaging (I'd like to meet him.) I thought "Lock 'n Load" was very well done. I particularly enjoyed the scene with the lady packing 4 or 5 knives. The shoot-off with Grandma was interesting. That lady could shoot.

3 stars. I enjoyed the unexpected variety of gun afficionados and was humored (and scared at times) by the zeal they had for firearms. There was nothing I strongly disliked scene-wise. Except for all the customers who thought it was appropriate to bring their kids to the store, or possess firearms-- which is a personal opinion. Sometimes humorous. I think a few of my gripes have to do with me being fairly well versed in firearms. I cringe when I see people muzzle flashing folks in the store, with their fingers all over the trigger. I also dislike when he says things like "you don't have to aim a shotgun, just point it in the general direction." I also think it is reckless to tell folks that just the sound of a shotgun ra...more

I loved Lock 'N Load. Josh wins any patrons of the gun shop over with his humor. There were the nervous shoppers; the experienced shoppers; the inquisitive shoppers; and others. Everyone relaxed more and more as Josh built rapport with them. I would watch the show if I had cable! It is an interesting concept and the interaction of the owner with customers is always different. I liked learning what kind of people purchase and use guns and why they use them.

After sleeping on it & upon further consideration, I have decided that it doesn't have any redeeming value. The premise: put up a few hidden cameras in a gun shop. Interesting, right? Wrong. Oh sure, maybe for a couple of episodes, but I can't see it really going anywhere unless the creators/host hoist up the balls to explore the real hot button issues. It was entertaining with several very funny scenes. However, within urban areas there are too many negative situations relating to guns and their use, you will loss or not create a lasting viewer base. Interesting in theory not practical for Chicago.

It was interesting to see how other states do things so differently then us but I don't like guns would not like to own or have any one else have one and would not like to live where people can carry one on thier person very scary but then I also say if everyone carryied one would we be so fast to shoot eachother because that seems to be what is happening anyway. I thought it was an interesting concept, but terrifying to see "regular" people stocking up on weapons and ammunition for recreational purposes. Little kids being brought into a gun shop like they were shopping for toys is very disturbing to me.

I thought it was okay, my boyfriend really liked it. It's not a bad show, but did seem a little 'made up'. Couldn't tell if it was a reality show or a scripted show. Hillbillies buying guns is a very scary concept to me. My favorite character was 'grandma', my favorite scenes are when they capture the creepy look in peoples eyes when they talk about guns. THE FILM HAD PLENTY OF 'LIGHT HUMOR'. I DON'T LIKE GUNS, NOR DO I FIND A 7-YEAR OLD MALE, PROFESSING HIS LOVE FOR THEM. THE BULLET-PROOF VEST WAS THE FUNNIEST LINE FOR ME---THE COUPLE WHERE THE WIFE AND HUSBAND HAD BEEN MARRIED THREE TIMES, AND JOSH ASKED THE HUSBAND WHAT HE WANTED. I probably will not watch this show. I thought it would have more of a story line. I am not interested in gun stores.
