Synopsis: The tragic loss of their unborn child has devastated Kate and John, taking a toll on both their marriage and Kate's fragile psyche as she is plagued by nightmares and haunted by demons from her past. Struggling to regain some semblance of normalcy in their lives, the couple decides to adopt another child. At the local orphanage, both John and Kate find themselves strangely drawn to a young girl named Esther. Almost as soon as they welcome Esther into their home, however, an alarming series of events begins to unfold, leading Kate to believe that there's something wrong with Esther--this seemingly angelic little girl is not what she appears to be. Concerned for the safety of her family, Kate tries to get John and others to see past Esther's sweet facade. But her warnings go unheeded until it may be too late...for everyone.

Overall I liked the "twist" of the story. Everyone would have just thought she was a "bad seed" or a ghost. But this was not the case at all. I really enjoyed the film.
One of the scenes I loved the most is when Esther got slapped in the hospital. I wanted to slap her! Also towards the end, where it started to reveal her true self.

Best suspense movie I have seen in a while. KSomething were kinda goofy and unbelieveable, but the way it twisted and wrapped up in the end made it a great must see movie.

Didn't like the last 1/2 hour of the movie I actually walked out and thought I goin to get sick. She was definately a pysco.

I thought this movie was pretty decent. I think that the acting was great! The twist in the end really got me. I knew something was up with the dental records but never imagined an ending like that! Well done for a horror.

I agree...even though at one point, and I'm pretty sure that everyone thought of this too, that this has already been done. Yet, the twist is great, the plot is simple, the visual were great (esp. with the art), and over all was a great watch. Just try to avoid sitting by a screamer at the theaters.

I really like the movie. So many of the recent horror movies have been the same rehash this movie really had an unpredictable unexpected twist. Plus the girl who played the orphan gave an incredible performance. Most of the child actors today are horrible. This child really has a future in the acting profession.

Good movie. It is funny and good to watch. It is a horror movie with some funny parts. I like how it keep making you guess why she is crazy.

I believe this movie is great. A real rollercoaster ride. Right from the first scene you know its not going to be a normal family fun kinda movie. I'm still keeping my teddy bear close at night when I go to sleep. This is not a movie for those who think the economy is the only thing wrong with todays society.

The movie had a lot of great suspense. Also, the twist in the movie were good: playing the piano and not being a child are 2 examples. I did find it believable that a child would be adopted without meeting everyone in the immediate family.

I was shocked about this movie. I was going into thinking that is was going to be just like every other horror movie out there but I was wrong. It was different (in a good way) Ester's secret was not what I thought it would be it blew my mind. I was recommending it to my friends after I saw the screening and they went out and watched it on opening weekend.

I didn't get to see this movie because once we got to 2 empty seats, some trashy cracked out chick tried to beat us up saying those seats were reserved (you cannot "reserve" free seats). Needless to say security came and we decided a "free movie" is not worth getting stabbed over. I would rather pay the 9.00 next time! PLUS...I heard this movie sucked so I guess I didn't miss anything.

I think this was a great movie. Great suspense/thriller movie. All of the actors did a great job. There were a lot of great scenes so I can't pick a favorite but Esther was definitely a special girl. Great ending too! Very unexpected.

Excellent thriller. It kept you in suspense from beginning to end. I was emotional exhausted by the end of the movie. The child actors were absolutely outstanding.

I greatly enjoyed when the Mom slapped the evil girl in the hospital. That was a very satisfying moment. I think it was for everyone, the whole audience responded with cheers and applause. A couple more smacks would have been nice!
Didn't care for the dad dying. I thought he was the nicest character in the film, although a bit naive.
