DISNEY PIXAR FAMILY FAVORITES RETURNING TO THE BIG SCREEN MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND ONLY AT AMC THEATRES®

With the summer movie season heating up, four popular Disney•Pixar movies are returning exclusively to AMC Theatres for the Memorial Day holiday weekend. From May 25 through May 28, “Toy Story 3,” “Ratatouille,” “Up” and “WALL•E” will be featured at AMC locations around the country. Each film will be accompanied by a classic Pixar short film and an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming movie, “Brave.”

LOS ANGELES, CA, MAY 16, 2012—Hampton Fancher is in talks to reunite with his “Blade Runner” director Ridley Scott to develop the idea for the original screenplay for the Alcon Entertainment, Scott Free, and Bud Yorkin produced follow up to the ground-breaking 1982 science fiction classic, it was announced by Alcon co-founders and co-Chief Executive Officers Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove.

Alex Proyas in talks for Summit's 'Gods of Egypt'

Alex Proyas is in negotiations to direct Summit Entertainment's "Gods of Egypt," with an eye to write the screenplay with Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.

Basil Iwanyk will produce via his Thunder Road Productions banner along with Proyas via his Mystery Clock Cinema banner.

Set against the legendary world of great pyramids and sphinxes, pic the story of a common thief and a god on a magical quest.

Warner Bros. summons Kloves for 'Defending Jacob'

Warner Bros. is in talks with "Harry Potter" scribe Steve Kloves to write and direct "Defending Jacob," Mary Parent's film adaptation of William Landay's legal thriller novel.

Parent will produce the project through her Disruption Entertainment banner.

Pic, set in a wealthy suburb of Boston, follows a district attorney who must leave his day job to defend his son from a murder charge, all the while uncertain of the son's guilt.
