The Internet seems to have a new life size or intricately detailed Lego sculpture every other day but this one blows all of those away (literally, if Lego has also developed a special piece that could withstand the heat needed to fire a laser cannon). A Lego model shop in Kladno, Czech Republic won the world record for creating the largest Lego sculpture with its 44-foot wide Star Wars X-Wing ship. The craft required the work of 32 "master builders" who took over 17,000 man-hours to put together all 5,335,200 bricks by hand.
If the names Jesse and Celine mean something to you, there's a slim chance that you've been thinking about them for almost 20 years. These star-crossed lovers were introduced in 1995, when they got off a train in Vienna and fell in love and parted ways in just 24 hours thanks to thoughtful conversations and charming personalities.
Quick question: have you ever heard anyone say they didn't like Dazed and Confused? While writing this article I tried to remember if I've ever read a comment on any movie site that had someone posting negatively about the film (and not just some troll saying they hate the movie because they want to start shit) and to be honest I can't think of one. There are plenty of coming of age movies but few can top the stellar cast and soundtrack of Dazed and Confused.
"There's a lie that all drivers tell themselves: death is something that happens to other people." This is the rationale that allows Formula 1 racers to crawl into cars that travel at impossible speeds on treacherous tracks explained by driver James Hunt in the latest trailer for Ron Howard's Rush. The sport drama based on a true story centers on the famous rivalry between Hunt and Niki Lauda, a rivalry that not only spurred them on to more and more risky maneuvers, but also saved one of them after a horrific and fiery crash.
18 years ago, a handsome American met a beautiful French student on a train headed to Vienna. Instead of a friendly handshake and a goodbye, Jesse persuaded Celine to get off the train and explore the city with him until his scheduled flight early the next morning.
In case you haven't been paying attention to any of the hoopla surrounding Star Trek Into Darkness, many fans have taken to the Net this week to protest and also defend J.J. Abrams' inclusion of a blatantly gratuitous shot of Alice Eve's character in her underwear. The film's cowriter Damon Lindelof has already gone on record apologizing for the scene, admitting it was gratuitous, while some longtime Trekkies have defended it by pointing out that it's in line with what we've seen from the Star Trek franchise over the years.
Relativity Media has released the first trailer for Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut Don Jon. Gordon-Levitt stars in the comedy as a contemporary, porn-addicted Don Juan-type who attempts to reform himself.
Get ready for Barmageddon! Director Edgar Wright and Focus Features have released the theatrical ‘Word’s End’ trailer, and it’s exactly what we expect from the guy who brought us ‘Shaun of the Dead.’ Only this time there’s aliens…or robots or something.
Remember that one teaser-y look we got not too long ago? Well this brings more of the hijinks to a new level in the face of a semi-apocalypse.
It's been been covered with a heat-activated label that changes from black to a picture of a pizza once it's done a few thousand revolutions inside your DVD player. At which point it also smells like pizza. Utterly dumb, or totally brilliant? We report – YOU DECIDE.
The Weinstein Company is in advanced negotiations to acquire all U.S. rights to Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s 3D adventure pic “The Young and Prodigious Spivet,” in what will be one of the highest-profile deals inked at Cannes.
