This summer kicked off with the unrepentantly steamy stripper drama Magic Mike, and IFC Midnight is looking to finish the season off with a hot new title of their own. About Cherry stars Chronicle's Ashley Hinshaw as a troubled—but legal—teen who runs away to San Francisco with her best friend (The Newsroom's Dev Patel). There a job as a cocktail waitress at a strip club proves to be the gateway to a wealthy but cocaine-fueled boyfriend (James Franco) and an introduction into the porn industry where she's mentored by an old pro (Heather Graham).

Rather than a cheap excuse to see a young starlet bare all, About Cherry aims to challenge American society's assumptions about sexuality and pornography through Cherry's struggle to find herself.
