NBC Asks Viewers to Vote for 'Revolution' In Their Hometown

Say, you want a Revolution? NBC is looking to power up some interest in its new J.J. Abrams/Eric Kripke drama, which it has been heavily promoting during the Olympics. Later tonight the network will launch a contest for viewers to score a screening of the new series (which stars Giancarlo Esposito and Billy Burke) in their hometown.

The Revolution "Powered by the People" campaign launches tonight immediately after NBC airs a two minute and 40-second preview of the show during the Olympics. (The clip is currently set to run sometime between 10:45/9:45c and 11:15/10:15c prior to the Women's Gymnastics Uneven Bars competition.)

After the Revolution preview, NBC will launch the campaign at http://tinyurl.com/NBCRevolution, where viewers will be asked to vote for their hometowns to land one of 10 screenings. The Facebook page will include a blacked-out map of the United States; but as votes come in, cities with the most votes will illuminate brighter and brighter.
