Steven Spielberg Wants Chris Hemsworth To Star In Robopocalypse
It would seem that Steven Spielberg has an interest in having the power of Thor involved in Robopocalypse.
Deadline has learned from insiders that the multiple Oscar-winning filmmaker has taken a meeting with Chris Hemsworth and decided that he wants the actor to star in his sci-fi/action film adaptation of Daniel H. Wilson's book. The director has been attached to the project since late 2010, with Drew Goddard working on the script while Wilson was writing it. In a strange twist of fate, should Hemsworth agree to star in the movie it would actually be a reunion, as the performer had a large role in Goddard's feature directing debut, The Cabin in the Woods. The film tells the story of an apocalyptic future where robots have become sentient and take over society, leaving the human race no other option than to fight back.
