Universal eyes Kasdan's 'My Spy'
Universal Pictures is in final negotiations to acquire the script of the action comedy "My Spy" out of turnaround from CBS Films with Jake Kasdan attached to direct.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura, David Ready and Mark Vahradian are producing. Kasdan and his brother Jon will rewrite the screenplay based on early drafts from Jeremy Slater and Michael Diliberti.
Plot details are being kept underwraps but sources tell Variety its an action comedy in the vein of "Risky Business" and "Weird Science."
